I was contemplating whether to get the HD or the regular cam when I bought this, but I discovered that it does a very nice job of taking videos with either one. I would recommend this little camera to anyone!

This is a great little camera for posting on YouTube and other like sites. It takes a great video for what it is and the uploads are quick and easy. I should have spent the extra money and gotten the HD version, but I didn't know at the time that it was needed. I will probably upgrade later.
Remember that this camera only does video, not still pictures, and you cannot edit with it. It is for on the go video to post on the internet quickly. At the price, it might be something great for an older child who has an interest in videography, but you don't want to invest too much until you know it is going to stick. The station I work for uses them with older elementary school students through high school with great success and excitement.

Had trouble with the first Flip Ultra I got and got fast help from Customer service at Flip, but the same malfunction happened again and I decided to return it.
It took no time. I had never returned a product I purchased at Amazon before, but this was so quick and easy. Filled out their form and printed the return barcode and return label and WHIZ they shipped me the replacement over night and it works like a charm. I am so impressed. Will never hesitate to order any electronics from Amazon.

This is the best video camera I've ever owned. It's simplicity of use and the quality of the finished films are fantastic. I'm only sorry this wasn't available when my kids were growing up. I show the films on my computer and they look great. For the price this is a terrific product.
