Enough has been said about this product in previous reviews; it is what it is. If you want an extremely portable, easy to use cam recorder that gets good pictures and sound it would be hard to beat this product. I recently purchased one as a gift for my 18 year old daughter and she loves it. However her demands on it are not great. What got me to buy it from Amazon was that I could order it with a semi-custom skin. So instead of giving the same old black, white or chrome skin I got to choose one that suited her personality better. As usual with Amazon it arrived earlier than they had estimated and was in good shape. I recommend this product.

Great size. Easy to use. Not true HD however. Video streams are grainy. But for size of this unit it is better than carrying around a full-size HD video camera. 60 minutes goes by fast, but the 120 minute version is almost twice as thick. The USB 2.0 connector is without a cord so must have easy access to computer USB jack to connect. Next HD camera will be full size to get better video quality and longer than 1 hour shooting time. Would be nice if MinoHD had an option to add a card to shoot longer.

When I got this, I shot some test video and put the unit away for a while. Yesterday we had an outing so I brought it out, charged it for a few hours, and it wouldn't even turn on (it said "low battery" when plugged in, and is unresponsive when not plugged in). So no video of that, but I try charging it overnight anyway. Today, it still won't turn on. So basically I've paid $200 for a few minutes of test video. And of course the warranty is expired so I'm up the creek.
Lucky for you, you've read this before purchasing, so you can avoid my mistake!

The Flip does record really good HD video, but you need to ensure a few things: hold it steady and make sure you have plenty of light. If your hands aren't steady, it will be really obvious when you watch your video on the computer. If the light is low, then your video will be extremely noisy. Mount it on a tripod in a bright environment and you will be pleasantly surprised by the results.
Transferring data to the Mac is simple and quick. The copy speed is pretty reasonable for flash media, and it shows up just like a USB hard drive (no need to install the software).
